Subsequent to Ultrain co-founder & CTO Li Ning visit to China University of Science and Technology on April 9, where he enlightened the students with the application of digital asset and blockchain technology. Ultrain is visiting one of the top Chinese higher education institution Tsinghua University.
During this event, CEO Guo Rui, CTO Li Ning and the chief cryptographer Husen Wang all participated this event and shared the latest cutting-edge knowledge in the industry with the elite students here and received a warm welcome! As you can see from the below photos, it was a full house event.
As the co-founder & CEO of Ultrain, Guo Rui introduced our project to the audience. He said that Ultrain is a high-performance public chain that solves the bottlenecks of existing enterprise application blockchain. As a completely decentralized public chain, Ultrain is secure and fair. Unlike EOS’s Dpos consensus mechanism, there is no super nodes in the network, and is capable of performing 50 times faster than Ethereum. It solves issues such as low performance, high cost and lack of privacy protection of traditional public chain. Ultrain is the only commercial chain that provides trusted computing services to businesses and commercial clients, leveraging Ultrain’s high performance, low cost, and data protected public chain to help enterprise customers develop blockchain solutions. Randomized dynamic sharding technology created by Ultrain and a technology that can be implemented worldwide.
Sharding technology is normally restricted by 1/n mining rigs within the network, where n repents the number of concurrent shards allowed. With fewer rigs, network security is reduced and becomes vulnerable for attack, making 1/n a critical constraint that limits the progress of sharding technology. Ultrain’s innovative dynamic randomized node scheduling allows mining rigs to be dynamically assigned between chains or shards. The mining rigs are randomly shuffled and scheduled to different sharding segments at any given moment, which greatly improves the safety of the network.
Dual layer random number generation architecture created by Ultrain
Random number generation is the fundamental enabler of RPoS consensus. Ultrain’s implementation is based on a VRF, which Ultrain uses to create an innovative dual-layer architecture that resolves the common issues with random number generation, such as complicated setup processes, refusal to submit or propose, and collusion or manipulation between participants. It also eliminates the concern of network storms. Ultrain’s consensus mechanism has a significant enhancement in security, fairness and performance compared to other projects.
The only blockchain 3.0 public chain in the world that integrates zero-knowledge proof privacy protection scheme
Programmable Zero-knowledge proof module that can be flexibly configured according to the user’s business logic; no setup process (arbitrary assets/arbitrary logic). The solution is quite efficient: 25% faster than traditional zero-knowledge calculations — 50% low computational needs on the client: The client computing capacity is reduced to less than 25% of the traditional method, which can be integrated into the mobile phone chip, greatly expanding its application range.

During this event, Guo also publicly announced the first visualization of Ultrain’s main network, explaining to the audience that Ultrain main network data including the main and side chain. Ultrian’s network now contains a total of four sperate chains; with 160 nodes in operation, 70 of which are provided by Ultrain inhouse service, while the remaining nodes are all provided by miners. Ultrian’single-chain performance can achieve TPS 1000 and a total of TPS 4000 on the entire network with confirmation time of 10 seconds.
Li Ning continued the presentation by explaining relevant viewpoints of digitalized asset on chain. He said that digitalized asset should be based on cryptography and realize a digital twin of physical assets in the blockchain world. From a technical perspective, each asset is characterized by a high-intensity private key and public key, thereby realizing the uniqueness of the digital asset, of transactions. He also emphasized on how digitalized asset is a great application for blockchain.
Even with the perfect technology, if there is no actual application scenario that can fully adopted blockchain, then it would be difficult to progress. However, he believe that the Blockchain technology can empower the real economy in the digital asset aspects. Li believes that the following three approaches are the keys for better blockchain based digital asset adoption: establishing better legal and regulatory standards for digital asset, establishing technical standards for digital asset, and establishing circulation standards for asset data. Only by establishing a comprehensive compliance standards and engagement rules can we procced further on the path of digitalizing asset.
After that, the chief cryptographer Husen Wang Husen introduced the middleware results of Ultrain. He said that the technical structure of Ultrain is from a bottom to the top set up: consensus, middleware, DAPP, and several examples of Ultrain’s middleware in multiple cases: random number, zero-knowledge proof and anti-quantum wallet. He also mentioned how his random number generation can be used in real life such MOBA video games.
Ultrian’s appraoch to visit university campus is to encourage interaction and communication with younger generation, and to promote blockchain technology development with students with imagination, to achieve more technological breakthroughs, and to incubate a number of excellent and valuable blockchain application projects.
