On 1st January, 2019, the world’s longest countdown device was found in Yunqi Town, Hangzhou — more than 900 million seconds countdown to year 2050.
A large number of young people gathered during the 2050 forum — it is a meeting of the young generation and for the young generation. By putting them under the spotlight, the forum talked about how innovation can for this new generation, we are glad to see our young generation solving challenges and face their promising future.
Young people all over the country are united here, not only as a reunion of programmers from ACMer and the Blog Garden, but also a reunion of the next-generation young leaders of the MIT TR 35 and the Davos World Economic Forum, as well as scientists from different fields with the same belief.
Everyone who familiar with Ultrain knows we are a start-up with strong Alibaba work culture — our co-founder & CEO Guo Rui is the former Alibaba security group technical director. In 2016, Wang Jian, the Alibaba’s CTO & 2050 Forum founder, selected 20 elites in Alibaba and Guo Rui was one of them. As a representative of Dr. Ali’s class, Guo Rui was invited to participate in the 2050 Forum and shared his thought on ‘Aerospace + Internet Technology for Young Generation’.
The forum is a great opportunity to collaborate, it has been reported that participants were able to make business deals during the conference that worth tens of millions in revenue. The highlights of the forum include:
Knowledge sharing on Blockchain:
As the representative of the IT start-up, Guo Rui made his presence with a blockchain presentation.
Guo addressed that the blockchain technology has driven a new wave of business revolution. It is not only a new technological breakthrough, but also re-engineered the current business models to make them more efficient and effective. The data on the blockchain is immutable, encrypted and decentralized, doing business in the future will no longer rely on trust among human, but trust base on smart contract and technology.
In order to better understand the technology, Guo used three of Ultrain’s trust computing service clients as example, namely YOHO! — a fashion e-commerce platform, Great Resources — a public listed clean energy provider, and Electronic Soul Network Technology — the top 10 online game developer in China. The cooperation between Ultrain and these companies shows various ways the blockchain can be used in our society. Although the actual application scenarios are quite different across industries, the core purposes are to resolve the issue of human trust and provide a low-cost trust computing service.
Guo believes with the continuous development of blockchain technology, expansion of commercial reach, and development of Internet of Things, AI and other technologies, the landscape of the future business society will be greatly improved, and the programmable business community will soon come to realization.
During the forum, a series of other aerospace and aviation projects were announced to the public, Ultrain’s presence at this event indicates the potential collaboration among aerospace, IOT and blockchain technologies. The aerospace industry needs the support from emerging technologies such as AI and blockchain to break through its current barriers. We can confidently foresee the possibility of aerospace industry uses blockchain technology, and Ultrain, as the leader of trust computing, will continue to explore the integration of blockchain to aerospace industry and benefit the entire business community as a result.
